Whiteout Survival hero skill manual and widget costs

Every hero skill costs the same 165 manuals to take from level 1 to 5, whatever the hero's rarity: a Rare skill and a Mythic skill differ only in which manual they use. A Mythic hero's exclusive gear takes 275 widgets to reach level 10, and 200 of them go on levels 6 to 10.

Skill levels

A hero has three Exploration skills and three Expedition skills, each its own ladder. Exploration skills use Exploration Manuals and Expedition skills use Expedition Skill Manuals, each in the hero's rarity, so manuals never cross between the two kinds or between rarities.

One hero with all six skills at level 5 needs 495 manuals of each kind. Level 5, at 75 manuals, is the single costliest step and nearly half the ladder, and it needs the hero at 4★, so stars, not manuals, usually set the pace: a skill can only go one level past the hero's star count. The star costs are in hero XP and star costs.

Exclusive gear widgets

Each level costs 5 more widgets than the one before, from 5 at level 1 to 50 at level 10. Every level needs the hero at 1★ only. The gear's two skills take turns: odd levels raise its Exploration skill and even levels its Expedition skill, each reaching level 5 at gear level 9 and 10.

Stopping at level 5 costs 75 widgets and already puts both gear skills at level 2 or 3; the second half costs 200 more.

Heroes with exclusive gear

All 55 are Mythic heroes: four from Generation 1 and three from each generation after it, through Generation 18. Each uses its own widget item, so widgets for one hero's gear cannot be spent on another's.
