Which Whiteout Survival States grew fastest this week

Published Oct 26, 2026 · Data as of Oct 26, 2026

The typical Whiteout Survival State grew 2.58% in the week to 2026-10-25, and the 3,798 States we compared added 11.7T power between them. The State that added the most was State #874, up 13.8B (2.59%), but the more telling result sits one place below it: State #280 added almost as much, 13.7B, from less than half the starting power, a gain of 6.05%.

The list ranks by power added, not by percentage, so it favours large States: the same week of upgrades is a bigger number in a State with more Chiefs. Most of the top 20 grew between 1.43% and 3.07%, close to the typical State. The exceptions are the smaller States that still made the list on absolute gains: State #280 at 6.05%, State #386 at 4.88% and State #99 at 4.7%. Each started the week near 220B, well under the 500B to 700B of most of their neighbours on the list, and each added over 10B. When a mid-sized State keeps pace with States twice its size, it is usually a sign of an active core of Chiefs pushing upgrades together, often ahead of an event.

Young States grow far faster

State ageStatesTypical gainTypical growth %

4-8 weeks613.9B19.18
8 weeks or more3,7002.6B2.54

Among States older than eight weeks, the typical State grew 2.54%. The 61 States four to eight weeks old grew a median 19.18%, and the 37 States two to four weeks old grew 35.45%. In absolute terms the young States are not far behind either: the typical two-to-four-week State added 4.07B, more than the 2.63B of a typical established one.

This is the familiar shape of a State's first months. New Chiefs level quickly through cheap early upgrades, so power climbs fast from a low base. The percentage falls steadily as the State matures and each upgrade costs more.

Fast as they are, young States are still a small share of the game's growth. The 37 youngest States added 156B between them and the 61 in the next band added 228B. The 3,700 established States added 11.3T, about 97% of all the power gained this week. Slow percentages on large bases still add up to most of the movement at the top of the rankings, which is why established States fill the table above.

Alliances: who grew, and who reshuffled

Of the 100 strongest alliances, 65 gained power over the week and 35 lost some. These are the biggest gains among alliances that grew by less than double:

A2O in State #283 led with 45.5B (76.5%), ahead of TiE in State #491 at 36.7B (58.97%) and DVL in State #1118 at 34.8B (94.01%). Gains of half again in a single week are large even for strong alliances, and usually mean an alliance is recruiting hard as well as upgrading.

Three alliances more than doubled, and those jumps are not growth at all. ITS in State #736 went from 2.07B to 93.4B, PWR in State #943 from 5.77B to 96.2B, and HqJ in State #887 from 12B to 71.9B. No alliance upgrades its way to forty times its power in a week. Jumps like these happen when strong Chiefs leave one alliance for another, or when an alliance is rebuilt under a new tag.

State #943 shows it plainly. The week's steepest fall belongs to WIC in the same State:

WIC lost 34.3B over the same week that PWR gained 90.5B. A fall and a rise of that size in one State, in one week, is what a reshuffle looks like.

An alliance can lose power without anyone in it getting weaker. Members leave, move State or are replaced, and the total follows them. So a falling alliance is not necessarily a weakening one.

What to take from it

Growth this week was steady and broad: most established States grew between about 1.5% and 3%. If your State is older than two months and grew less than 2.5%, it grew slower than the typical State. The young States are pulling ahead fastest in relative terms, and the biggest alliance jumps are a better guide to who changed alliances than to who upgraded.
