How to find a Whiteout Survival player’s location

Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026

Where is that base? Whether you are planning a rally, looking for an ally who went quiet or checking where a new neighbour came from, the answer starts with two things: the Chief’s State, and the X and Y of their base on that State’s map.

Find the Chief first

Search for the Chief by name with the search box on the home page. Past names are searchable too, so a Chief who renamed after you last saw them is still found under the old name. When several Chiefs share a name, the State number and alliance tag on each result tell them apart; how to find any player by name covers search in detail.

This site does not search by the Chief ID shown on an in-game profile. Once you have found a Chief, though, the address of their page stays the same through renames, alliance moves and base moves, so a saved link keeps pointing at the same Chief.

Read the position

On the Chief’s page, the band at the top shows:

  • State: the State the base belongs to. Coordinates only make sense on that State’s map.

  • Last seen: when the Chief was last seen, with the X and Y of their base at that moment, the same pair you would read off the screen by panning to it in game.

When there is no current position, for example after the base has left the map it was last seen on, the coordinates are left out rather than showing an old spot as if it were current. The Changes tab lists the moves that have been seen, with their dates.

How fresh is it?

Read the last-seen time next to the coordinates. A position seen an hour ago is almost certainly still right. One seen days ago is where the base was then: a good place to start looking in game, not a promise. Bases move, by choice or after a teleport.

A position tells you where a base is, nothing more. It does not say whether the Chief is online, and this site does not claim to know that.

Around the base

The State’s own page shows who holds its President and officer seats and its strongest alliances, which is often the context you want before acting on a location. Every State is listed under States.
